Which water is best for You ? Spring, mineral or tap water

Water is the most important building block in the human body. Adequate hydration ensures excellent well-being and contributes to good health. You will ask "what does appropriate mean?" The answer to this question is determined by two features of drinking water - quantity and quality. Which is the healthiest? We have taken the most popular types of water as wallpapers: spring, tap and mineral. Find out what are the advantages of each of them.

Recommended water intake

You may be advised to drink at least 2 litres of fluids a day. However, this is not a measure for everyone. Adults with average physical activity in determining the

appropriate amount of water can use a simple conversion factor: 30 ml of water per 1 kg of body weight (so the recommendation of 2 liters applies to a person weighing

about 66 kg).However, it is worth remembering about situations when the need for water is greater - heat, intense training, breastfeeding, fever. Not everyone knows

that the amount of water supplied to our body should increase when we change our diet to a more caloric one. The rule is simple: 1 more calorie equals 1 ml more water.

Spring water - what should you know about it?

Cheap, tasty, thirst-quenching - do we need anything more? Of course. Water should also provide us with minerals necessary for the proper functioning of the body.

Spring water, unfortunately, cannot boast of this. A maximum of 500 mg in a liter bottle are trace amounts. What's more, daily consumption of it can lead to leaching of

minerals from the body. However, it is perfect for cooking - it does not contain chlorine, is chemically and microbiologically clean, and has the advantage over tap

water that it is not dependent on the condition of the sewage system in our apartment. Spring water is recommended in the diet of infants and young children - their

immature digestive systems are not ready to accept large amounts of minerals contained in mineral waters.

Mineral water - is it healthy?

At least 1000 mg of minerals per liter of water (as required by the Regulation of the Minister of Health of 2011) - that sounds sensible! Minerals contained in mineral water are well absorbed, have a positive effect on our body, reducing the risk of certain diseases and improving the condition of our body. They regulate the course of many processes in the body - from metabolism, through hormonal and water management, to the reduction of toxic heavy metals. Calcium and magnesium ions strengthen our skeletal system. Magnesium can also be a remedy for persistent leg muscle cramps and irritating eyelid tremors. Who among us has not experienced this?

For people with digestive system problems, such as gastroesophageal reflux, mineral waters with an increased content of bicarbonates can be a relief. In addition,

which not everyone knows, they inhibit the development of diabetes by lowering the level of sugar in the blood and urine. It's still not everything! Do you have

problems with constipation? Try water with lots of sulfates. It is hard to disagree with the statement that mineral water is liquid health. If you want to make sure that the

electrolyte balance is maintained in your body, perform the electrolyte level tests based on blood analysis.

Tap water - can you drink it?

Chlorinated, polluted by pesticides and heavy metals - these are the most frequently mentioned defects of tap water demonized for many years. But tap water is not

as terrible as it is painted! Using carbon or osmotic filters, you can completely purify tap water and consume it without remorse. It will fulfill its basic role: it will hydrate

our body. However, let's not forget about the need to provide ourselves with minerals. This is not always possible with a proper diet, which is why doctors and

nutritionists recommend drinking water with a high mineral content. Nothing easier!

For tap water filtration, we can use filters that have a built-in mineralizer. However, if we want (or are forced to) control the type and amount of minerals supplied to

the body, we can buy mineral supplements available in stores for athletes.

Finally, we have some good advice for you. Remember the role of drinking water in your life. Try to get into the habit of drinking water, keep it with you at all times and make wise purchasing choices related to it. This pays off!
