a few words from me

Today something Mexican, so tomato salsa. In case you don't know, tomato salsa is a thick sauce, sometimes with lumps, made from fresh, finely chopped or blended vegetables with or without fruit. Sometimes there are various extremely aromatic herbs, such as in the salsa verde sauce, or tomatoes as in the classic Mexican tomato salsa with nachos. Tomato salsa is nothing more than a sauce with pieces of vegetables, which you can serve with nachos, corn or pancakes

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

INGREDIENTS

4-6 ripe tomatoes

1 large bunch of fresh coriander, if you don't have any, add parsley, basil or other herbs

1 red pepper

1 white or red onion

1 chilli peppers (note they can be spicy)

2 cloves of garlic

1 lime

4 tablespoons of olive oil

100 ml passata di Pomodoro

1 tsp dry oregano

salt and pepper

THE how to make

INstructions

1. Peel tomatoes and cut in very small dice

2. Remove seeds from peppers and cut into very small dice

3. Put the following into a blender or food processor: onion, peeled and halved garlic, leaves of herbs, add salt and squeezed juice lemon and olive oil

4. Put tomatoes and peppers in the bowl

5. Add mix from blender

6. Add passata di Pomodoro, pepper and dry oregano

7. Mix all together.

You can also blend everything in the blender or food processor if You want smoother version
