Why This one

a few words from me

Cocoa apple cake is the perfect fall dessert. Well, actually it would be perfect for anytime of the year, but I seem to only make it in the fall when we pick fresh apples. This recipe comes from my nana. I remember her making it when I was a teenager. I loved it and asked for her recipe. Yep, I collected recipes even way back then! Transferred into gluten-free recipe and now I can still enjoy :-)

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

INGREDIENTS

5 eggs

2 cups G/F flour

0.75 cup oil

0.75 cups melted margarine

1 1/2 cup sugar

2 tbsp cocoa powder

2tsp cinnamon

2 tsp baking soda

1/2 cup walnuts

1 kg apples

THE how to make

INstructions

Beat egg whites,

Slowly add sugar while beating

Add one egg yolk at a time while whisking.

Pour oil and cooled margarine. Keep slowly whisking

Sieve flour, then cocoa, cinnamon, soda.

Add diced apples and walnuts, stir gently to mix it evenly

Lay on greased and lined with a paper baking tray.

Bake in 190`C for 45 minutes (depends on oven)
